“We must be a beacon of hope, because if you tell people there’s nothing they can do, they will do worse than nothing.” ~ Margaret Atwood
Just outside of my local church, there’s a hut where we light prayer votive candles which radiate a warmth that’s more than just the heat from the flames. It’s a comforting warmth that’s generated by the prayers offered by those who visit especially to light the candles. The light emanating from the hut represents a beacon of hope to everyone who visits; it reminds us that the power of prayer illuminates the darkest times. There is always something that we can do, even in the most hopeless situations ~ by helping others, praying, showing compassion, and being the beacons of light that make our darker paths a little less so. ❤
Until next time,
