A Sad Day For Our Local Church

Y

esterday, I decided to go to my local Church {St. Luke’s} to pray and light a couple of candles. When I got there, I was shocked and upset to find out that the Candle Building burned down a couple of weeks ago, only 6 days after our last visit. Nobody really knows how the fire started ~ an accident or vandalism ~ but I do pray that it wasn’t the latter. I would hate to think that anyone would go there to purposely burn down a place that’s considered a sanctuary by all who go there.

I drove home after taking some pictures for Chris to see and my heart was heavy. I cried a little. For the last 4 years, I found comfort in lighting candles at St. Luke’s to get me through some really rough times. It is my hope that St. Luke’s is able to rebuild very soon. I have included some pictures to show the before/after shots and give you, our readers a glimpse into a very special place.

Until next time…
